Scope and Content:
The town of Duxbury celebrated its 300th anniversary in 1937. A committee was established to commemorate the year. Over the Fourth of July, there was a large parade, bonfire, and various other events. The committee also chose historic locations throughout town to place granite markers. Sites included the Weston Wharf, Ford Store, First School House, Point School, Nook Gate, Tree of Knowledge, etc. These markers still stand today. Photographs of the events and markers are in the collection.

A commemorative stamp featuring the Hope, built by Ezra Weston in 1841, was created. Examples are in the collection.

Numerous copies of the program published for the summer events that give a history of the town, written by various authors, are also included.
