The Bolton Family Collection (c. 1872-1940) consists of 55 photographs, 13 postcards and 14 pieces of ephemera belonging to the families of Joseph F. Bolton, Jr. and Henry A. Briggs of Duxbury, MA.  The photographs, many of which are cyanotypes, depict Clark’s Island, Duxbury school classrooms and family members.  There are also two photographs most likely taken by Boston fireman, Joseph F. Bolton, Sr., relating to the Boston Fire of 1872.
