Tilden, Sally

The Sally Tilden Papers (1789) consists of the manuscript written by Sally Tilden.  The paper bound manuscript contains handwritten copies of popular educational writings of the day, including “Virtue Under Affliction, represented in the story of Amanda.”

Biographical Information:  Sally Tilden was most likely Sarah Tilden, b. 1772 in Pembroke, MA .  She married Consider Fuller of Kingston.  Sarah and Consider had six children: Ezra (b. 1791); Elizabeth (b. 1792); Joanna (b. 1794); Sarah (b. 1799); John (b. 1801); and Caleb (b. 1802).  Sarah Tilden Fuller died in Kingston, MA in 1805.

Organization: The Collection consists of one bound manuscript.
