Scope and Content
The Harry Glass Collection contains the ledger book (1844-1870) of John Glass. The ledger has accounts for many Duxbury residents, including Gershom Bradford Weston, various members of the Drew family, the Bradfords, and others. Also included are five photographs of Duxbury in the early 20th century: two of Partridge Academy (c. 1900 and 1904), a parade on Washington Street led by Joseph Soule (1903), the Duxbury High School baseball team (1923), and a class photo of a Duxbury school with teacher, Grace Peterson Berriman, students, and a dog. There is also a panoramic photograph of the Pilgrim Tercentenary pageant (1921). The collection includes a newspaper clipping from the Duxbury Clipper with a photo of the 1913 class of the Point School and other copies of images.
