Scope and Content: The Collection consists of three written histories of the Helping Hand Rebekah Lodge, two from 1955 and one from 1975.  There is also a dance card and pencil from the Second Annual Concert and Ball of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Mattakeesett Lodge, 1897

Biographical Information: The Daughters of Rebekah is the female counterpart to the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.  The Duxbury chapter and the Helping Hand Lodge #26 was formed in 1875.  In 1896, both the Duxbury Odd Fellows (Mattakeesett Lodge #110) and the Helping Hand Rebekah Lodge contributed the funds to erect the Mattakeesett Hall building located on Washington Street in Duxbury.  The building was sold in 1975.
