Albert M. Watson Letter (1839)

Scope and Content: The Collection consists of one letter written by Albert M. Watson in Boston, to his wife, Abby, on Clark’s Island, June 18, 1839.  He describes the Merrimack River, walking in Haverhill and seeing the White Mountains.  He inquires about the children and sends his love to all on the Island (Clark’s Island).

Biographical Note:  Albert Mortimer Watson (b. abt. 1806) was the son of John Watson and Eunice Marston.  In 1831 he married Abigail Burgess (b. 1812).  The couple lived on Clark’s Island, Plymouth, MA. Together they had four children: James Marston, Edward Winslow, Albert Mortimer and Nathan Burgess.
